ATLÂNTICA – Association of Resorts, Hotels, and Tourism Companies of the Alentejo Coast, a private non-profit entity that brings together tourism sector companies operating in the Alentejo Coast, was formally established through a public deed.
The Association is headquartered at Espaço Comporta (EN 253, Km 1, Comporta) and was created with the goal of promoting cooperation among its members, enhancing and encouraging the sustainable and integrated development of the region as a prime tourist destination.
On the same day, the first General Assembly was held, during which the governing bodies for the 2026–2028 term were approved, and the membership fees for founding members were set .
ATLÂNTICA includes companies with a structuring role in the territory, representing significant investment in hospitality, resorts, tourist real estate promotion, and related services. The association defines its area of activity as the Alentejo Coast, including the municipalities of Grândola, Alcácer do Sal, Santiago do Cacém, and Sines, while also allowing for actions of national and international promotion .
ATLÂNTICA positions itself as a business platform focused on:
• Institutional representation of member companies;
• Strategic cooperation between economic agents and public entities;
• Promotion of a sustainable and qualified development model;
• Strengthening the international positioning of the Alentejo Coast.
The establishment of the Association represents a key step in consolidating an organized business leadership capable of contributing in a coordinated manner to the future of the region.
